1. Introduction

This Delivery Policy sets out the delivery methods, timeframes, and charges that apply to orders placed through our website, https:www.riachristiecollections.com.

This policy forms part of our contract of sale with you and should be read alongside our Terms and Conditions of Sale. By placing an order with us, you confirm that you have read and understood this policy.

2. Free UK Delivery

We offer free standard delivery to all UK addresses on orders over £25.00. This applies to mainland England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

Orders below £25.00 are subject to a delivery charge, which we calculate automatically at checkout based on the size, weight, and destination of your order.

We do not offer free delivery to international addresses. All applicable delivery charges and any relevant taxes are displayed clearly before you complete payment.

3. Where We Deliver

We deliver books online to customers across the United Kingdom and internationally. Our current delivery destinations include:

        United Kingdom: England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland

        International: Worldwide — if postal services can reach your location, we can deliver to you

4. Dispatch and Delivery Timeframes

We dispatch UK orders using Royal Mail Tracked 48, which aims to deliver within 2–3 working days of dispatch. Please note this is a delivery aim, not a guarantee.

Our order cut-off time is 2:00 pm on working days (Monday to Friday, excluding UK public holidays).

        Orders placed before 2:00 pm on a working day are processed the same day and dispatch timeframes run from the close of business on that day.

        Orders placed after 2:00 pm, or on a weekend or public holiday, are processed on the next working day.

Estimated delivery timeframes by destination:

        United Kingdom: 2–3 working days after dispatch (Royal Mail Tracked 48)

        Europe: 3–10 working days after dispatch

        Rest of World: 5–15 working days after dispatch

Please note: Delivery timeframes are estimates. Factors outside our control — such as postal service delays, adverse weather, customs processing, or public holidays — can occasionally extend delivery times. We always aim to dispatch your order as quickly as possible.

5. Delivery Charges

We calculate delivery charges automatically during checkout, based on the delivery method selected, the destination, and the total size and weight of your order.

You will see the full delivery cost before you confirm and pay for your order. We never add unexpected charges after purchase.

6. Order Tracking

We dispatch the majority of UK orders via Royal Mail Tracked 48, which provides end-to-end parcel tracking, delivery confirmation, and in most cases a photo on delivery.

Once we dispatch your order, we provide a tracking number upon request. Royal Mail also sends SMS or email delivery notifications where these are available.

You can track your parcel at any time via the Royal Mail tracking portal at royalmail.com using your tracking number. If you need your tracking number, please email us with your order reference.

7. Receiving Your Delivery

Most deliveries do not require a signature. Where a signature is required, we confirm this at the point of purchase.

If no one is available to accept delivery, Royal Mail may leave your parcel in a safe place or with a neighbour, or leave a notification card with instructions on how to collect your parcel from your local delivery office.

Please note: if you nominate a safe place or neighbour for delivery, this is treated as a successful delivery under UK consumer law (Consumer Rights Act 2015).

8. Missed and Failed Deliveries

If Royal Mail is unable to deliver your order, they will leave a notification card at your address with instructions on how to arrange redelivery or collect your parcel from your local sorting office. Collection time limits apply.

If you do not collect or rearrange delivery within the time limit set by Royal Mail, your parcel may be returned to us. In this case, we will contact you to arrange redelivery. Please note that we reserve the right to charge you for the cost of redelivery, even where your original order qualified for free delivery.

A failed delivery will be considered your responsibility if:

a)     you provided an incorrect or incomplete delivery address;

b)    the delivery address is not reasonably or safely accessible;

c)     there is no safe place to leave the parcel and no person is available to accept it; or

d)    a signature is required but no one is present at the delivery address to provide one.

9. Delivery Problems

We take delivery issues seriously. If your order has not arrived within the expected timeframe, or if you receive a damaged or incorrect item, please contact us as soon as possible.

We aim to respond to all delivery enquiries within 24 hours on working days.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, we are responsible for your order until it reaches you or a person you have authorised to receive it. If your parcel is lost or damaged in transit, we will work with you to resolve the issue promptly.

If we are unable to resolve a delivery issue to your satisfaction, you may be entitled to a refund or replacement in accordance with your statutory rights.

10. Your Legal Rights

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, we are required to deliver your order within 30 days of the date of purchase, unless we have agreed a different timeframe with you.

If we fail to deliver within the agreed or statutory timeframe, you have the right to:

        request a new delivery date; or

        cancel your order and receive a full refund, including any delivery charges paid.
