Description
Many years ago, a small aircraft was attempting to fly from North America to Italy. It got into difficulty and had to crash land in Co. Clare, Ireland. This is the story of how two young brothers saw the crash and got to meet the pilot and co-pilot who luckily escaped the crash uninjured. The young boys were so amazed seeing an aeroplane up close, they decided to build their own aeroplane. They gathered all the parts they needed and learned many new skills about how to build and fly an aeroplane. World War II slowed down their plans, but eventually, they were able to complete the task they had set themselves! It was an amazing achievement and they made history! What amazing thing would you like to do?
